Some of these recipes are nutritious and wholesome, and some are downright decadent. But they all have a healthy serving of protein and the daily recommended amount of zing!

Dessert for Breakfast Smoothie

Fruit, protein, probiotics – this is the perfect breakfast smoothie. But then, here comes Chocolate and Hazelnut Spread and turns it into something else entirely. Something transcendent.

It transcends breakfast. It transcends dessert. It transcends an ability to capture in words how, uh, transcendent it is. Try it for yourself. (You might want to sit down while you taste it, too; you may go weak in the knees.)

Makes: 1 Smoothie

INGREDIENTS:

1 Cup JoeFroyo

1 Cup Ice

2 Frozen Bananas, Sliced

1 Generous Tablespoon of Chocolate and Hazelnut Spread – you know which one we mean

STEPS:

  1. Combine JoeFroyo, ice, bananas and chocolate & hazelnut spread. Blend for 20 or 30 seconds until smooth.
  2. Enjoy!

Date Shake-Shake-Shake, Señora

This one is inspired by a traditional Palm Springs treat – and one of our favorites: the date shake. We’ve seen some dressed up with vanilla bean gelato (as we recommend below), which adds an extra creamy richness – but the ones that really make our hearts flutter are the ones amped up with a shot of espresso. So, adding JoeFroyo to our traditional date shake recipe was a no-brainer. The protein and probiotics? Those are freebies. You’re welcome.

Makes: 1 Shake

INGREDIENTS:

6-8 Dates, Coarsely Chopped

1 Cup Ice Cold JoeFroyo

1.5 Cups Vanilla Bean Ice Cream (or Gelato)

¼ teaspoon of nutmeg (or cinnamon)

STEPS:

Combine chopped dates and JoeFroyo into a blender and blend until smooth and frothy. Add ice cream and pulse until blended. Top with nutmeg.

Think “acai bowl.” Then think, “but better.” This icy, fruity, zesty concoction is a great way to frontload some much-needed nutrition first thing in the morning – and, while you’re at it, throw in some JoeFroyo for a caffeine boost and sustained energy from premium lactose-free cultured milk. For all those times you thought, “I wish I could eat JoeFroyo with a spoon, so I could savor it longer.” Dreams, meet reality.

INGREDIENTS:

½ Cup Ice Cold JoeFroyo
1 ¼ Cup Mixed Berries (Frozen)
1 Heaping Tablespoon Nut Butter (peanut, almond, cashew)
1 Large Banana
3 Tablespoons Granola
3 Tablespoons Sliced Strawberries
4 Slices of Apples
2 Tablespoons Chia Seeds
1 Tablespoon Pumpkin Seeds

STEPS:

Combine JoeFroyo, mixed berries, nut butter, and ½ banana in a blender and blend on low until it’s the consistency of a thick smoothie. Add chia seeds and mix well. Transfer to a bowl. Slice the remaining ½ banana. Arrange slices, along with strawberries and granola, in neat piles on top. Enjoy!
